✯REVIEW BLITZ:✯ Torrid Little Affair by Kendall Ryan

Torrid Little Affair by Kendall Ryan

Release Date: December 11th 2017
Series: Forbidden Desires #3
Genres: Romance

The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And I have the perfect candidate all picked out.

My new assistant is tempting beyond belief with her curvy body and take-no-shit attitude. All those luscious curves, and a juicy ass I’m already in love with. God, the things that I would do to that ass…

But it’s the haunted look in her eyes that speaks to me. Like she’s taken just as much shit in her past as I have—maybe more. We both deserve a little fun.

Love can’t fix everything. Mind-blowing sex and a few killer orgasms, on the other hand?

I have a feeling those might do the trick.

This is book three in the Forbidden Desires series, and while it can be read as a standalone, it’s recommended you start with Dirty Little Secret.

Purchase: Amazon, iBooks, Nook, Kobo

My Review:

Torrid Little Affair is the third book in the Forbidden Desires series that can technically be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading the first two books in the series for a full effect. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Cooper Kingsley, the youngest Kingsley brother whose recent heartbreak had taken him away from his family in order to get better. When he gets a call from one of his brothers demanding him to come back to work, he goes back home only to find a a new personal assistant waiting for him at work. Now his brothers referred to her as being their gift and Cooper thought that she was there to please him in other ways and that scared her away. After clearing the misunderstanding they go back to work, but there is something about Corinne that Cooper likes and he makes her a proposition that she can’t deny. A sexual relationship with no strings attached. But as the two start to get to know more about each other, the more he wants to keep her around, but he is afraid to get hurt again.

Corinne never expected to end up working at Forbidden Desires, but being Copper’s assistant would help her get back on her feet and she needs the job. After clearing the air between the two of them, Corinne never expected to get a proposition from Copper, one that would ultimately change their relationship in ways she never expected them to. But there are things in her past that she might just come in the way of their relationship and she doesn’t know what to do about them. She wants a relationship with Copper, but she doesn’t want to hurt him either. It’ll be up to them to decide if they’re ready to move forward or not.

After reading the synopsis I was really excited to read Copper’s story, and it didn’t disappoint. Kendall Ryan knows how to deliver a good romance and although I loved the overall story, there were a couple things missing that I would have liked to have seen in the book. The point of the story was to get Corinne to feel more comfortable in her own skin during sex, and we don’t really get to see much of that in the story. It’s only stated afterwards that we get to know that she is having with Copper. We do get to find out a lot of things about Corinne and it’s understandable to see why she is the way she is in the story. On the other hand, Copper is sweet and caring towards her making him totally swoon worthy!!! I enjoyed reading their romantic scenes and all the twists and turns that we get on the way. The ending definitely had me surprised, I was not expecting it and it made the story refreshing to read. I would highly recommend reading this book as well as the last two books in the series. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, it’s going to be good! ;)
