When bad weather closes the airport, free-spirited Jules Bloom finds herself stuck with the admittedly hot but total suit Dexter Elliott. One night and one large pitcher of “Vegas Sunrise” later, Jules wakes up in a hotel bed with a vicious hangover…wearing nothing but a wedding ring.

Determined not to ruin his brother's wedding, Dexter strikes a deal with the frustratingly gorgeous Jules to continue their quickie marriage through the weekend. Only she keeps getting under his skin in unexpected ways.

Jules has her own reasons for staying married to Dex but they seem less important with each exaggerated touch and staged kiss. But one marriage, one major secret, and two complete opposites don’t add up to a happily ever after…

My Review:

Wife for the Weekend was such sweet and hilarious book to read. Having read London's previous works before, I was excited to read yet another story by her.

In this particular story we get to meet Jules Bloom, a free-spirited artist whose friend/ex is about to get married and as his friend she has accepted the invitation to go to his wedding. But on the way there, her flight gets canceled and she accidentally bumps into the groom's brother, Dexter Elliott. As the two wait at the airport, they headed to the bar, and after a couple laughs and drinks they both end up getting a little too close. The next day, Jules wakes up wearing nothing but a wedding ring on her friend. Now she has to figure out what she is going to do before anyone finds out that she is already married to Dexter.

With his brother's wedding coming up, Dexter just wants to have a good time and be with his family. But nothing could have prepared him when he discovered right after seeing Jules at the airport. Now she is his wife and without knowing what to do before the wedding, he strikes a deal with Jules to continue their marriage through the weekend. Yet, everything seems to be going a little differently than he originally thought, because his family happens to like Jules, and they are thrilled to have her as part of the family. Now he has to find a way to get a quiet divorce before anyone's feelings get hurt.

I really like the cover of the book, it has the playful vibe of the story. The characters, especially Jules is fun and smart. She knows what she wants and is determined to keep fighting for her dreams. Whereas Dexter is a bit more serious, yet protective over Jules. Their relationship slowly grows as the story progressed, but as secrets start to come out they both have to find a way to protect the ones that they love. As both of the characters start to spend more time together, the more they start to realize that they might just be perfect for each other. Overall, if you are looking for a romantic book filled with sweet and funny scenes than I highly recommend reading this book, it will not disappoint. : )
