Over my dead body.

That's what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.

If anyone is touching her, it's going to be me.

I shouldn't even be considering it, but I can't get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.

***
Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.

Those are the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best friend.

When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.

He says if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be him.

I hate that I’m even considering his offer.

But I am … I sooo am.

Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he’s driving in to me.

But if we cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?

MONSTER PRICK is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.

My Review:

Monster Prick is supposed to be a spin off novella of one of Kendall Ryan's previous books, Screwed. Now this book can be read as a standalone, which I did since I have not read Screwed yet. In this particular book we get to read about Gracie and Hudson, characters that appeared in the first book as well.

Gracie Oliver is a recent twenty-two year old college grad who has just landed her first job. Now that she is officially an adult with a job, she has decided that joining a dating website would help her get another pending task off her list, and that is losing her virginity. When she tells her brother and his best friend, Hudson, what she is going to do she only gets a very overprotective friend begging not to do it.

Ever since they were kids, Gracie has always had a crush on Hudson that has only grown stronger throughout the years. But she is tired of waiting for him to notice her, so she is willing to lose her virginity to a stranger. Yet that all comes crushing down when the very same guy that has always treated her as a sister offers his help with that issue. He is going to teach her how to please a man in a couple lessons which should have been enough for the both of them, but that did not happen, instead they now have to figure out what to do with their growing feelings for each other.

The book was a good length for a novella, it was sweet and steamy. It is evident from the very beginning that the characters have chemistry, but I felt that the story itself lacked development. The ending felt rushed, and it almost felt like the author skipped chapters and gave us an end instead of the actually story. With that said it is a novella so it's not supposed to be a whole book, which I get. I almost wished the author had written a whole book which could have worked that much better. Anyway, I did liked the dual point-of-views that we get. It was nice to read what both of the characters were thinking in the process, it made the story that much more enjoyable to read. There was humor and very steamy moments in the story that I liked and for that I would still recommend giving this novella a try. I will most definitely be reading the first book soon. : )
