My Review:

The Alpha's Temporary Mate was such a funny and romantic book to read. Davies uses the same concept of what one would typically find in a contemporary book, but twists it by using supernatural beings. I found it to be refreshing and enjoyable to read.

Fated Match is dedicated to match supernatural beings together no matter what they are, and one of these people in charge of that is Chloe Donovan, a witch who takes pride of the work that she does to find the perfect match of her clients. So when one of her newest clients, Kieran Clearwater, walks to her office and demands her to find him a fake girlfriend, Chloe immediately refuses. But being the wealthy alpha that he is, Kieran is willing to compensate her and the company for the favor. With nothing to lose, Chloe accepts his offer, but that soon proves to be a difficult task when he refuses her options for what he wants. Instead he is immediately drawn to her and the way she is towards him that he asks her to be his fake girlfriend instead. As the mating moon approaches, Kieran introduces Chloe to his pack members and that is when things start to change in the story. Both Kieran and Chloe begin to get to know each other and their pasts that takes their chemistry to the next level.

It is evident that Kieran doesn't do relationships, but the way Chloe reacts towards him makes him notice her more. No one has ever stood up to him, and when she does everything starts to change for him. The man in him questions his new feelings for her, but his wolf is ready to claim her as his, and that is what soon begins to scare him. But the minute his past shows up, he has to make a choice of whether moving on is the right thing for him and Chloe or if his duty as the alpha is greater than his growing love for her.

As I mentioned before the idea is not new, but it does makes it refreshing to read in a somewhat different perspective. Chloe is definitely a strong character in the book, she has fought to be where she is that she is not one to give up easily. Her job and the people that she works with are her only family, yet she longs to belong to someone, to have her own mate. When she starts working for Kieran, he is the one that opens her eyes to the idea, but soon their attraction starts to turn into something more, which makes things difficult for her. Whereas for Kieran, his pasts has haunted him for a very long time, and when he meets Chloe he finally sees what he has been looking for all along. Although the characters have flaws, they do grow somewhat throughout the book. We don't get a drastic change, and I really don't think it needed it. Though I have to say that there were scenes that could have been executed a lot better. For one, the ending sweet and to the point, but I really think that the book needed something else to tie everything together (an epilogue...). Overall, the story worked for me and if you are looking for a supernatural story with a twist then I would highly recommend giving this book a try. :)
