🌟BOOK BLITZ:🌟 Your Rhythm by Katia Rose {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

Your Rhythm by Katia Rose

Release Date: May 24th 2018
Series: Sherbrooke Station, #1
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Contemporary,Romance

You know what they say: save a snare, bang a drummer.

Kay Fischer is well aware of what they say, and she intends to ignore it completely.

After her first step into the world of music journalism ended with a screw-up so royal it deserved a crown, Kay’s been struggling to re-stack the building blocks of her career. Salvation comes in the form of Sherbrooke Station, the latest alt-rock craze to grace Montreal’s legendary music scene.

A front page feature on the band everyone’s talking about seems like a foolproof shot at success, even after Kay meets their drummer. Matt Pearson might have a smile sexy enough to be the eighth deadly sin and a passion for music so powerful it makes her heart ache, but Kay’s got things under control.

She’s a professional, goddammit, and a professional would not get tongue-tied over a source, even a source who’s a six-foot, tattooed rock god with an affinity for tight jeans.

A professional would not find herself opening her door at an hour long past midnight to pull said source inside and lead him to her bed.

No, that’s not at all what a professional would do.

‘Your Rhythm’ is part of the Sherbrooke Station Quartet, a series of steamy rock star standalones from the author of ‘Latte Girl’ and ‘Thigh Highs.’

Purchase: Amazon

Matt’s still propped against the edge of the bar when I reach him. The crowd is thinner over here and I get a good look at him from a few feet away: sandy undercut hair and an angular face, softened by full lips and just the right amount of stubble. He’s got the perfect features to pull off his eyebrow piercing, and while they’re currently covered by a navy blue coat, all my internet stalking has proved he’s got the perfect arms to pull off the collection of tattoos on both.

Eric the Surfer might have been hot in a general sense, but Matt Pearson is one hundred percent my type.

Did I just admit someone in Sherbrooke Station is my type?

“Hey,” I call sharply, hoping I can help myself deny that little revelation by acting annoyed with him. “Giving up that easy?”

He gives me a cautious glance and then shifts his eyes from side to side, like he’s making sure I’m really talking to him.

“On looking for me,” I elaborate. “I’m Kay Fischer.”

Now his dark eyes travel up and down the length of me in a completely unapologetic stare. He smirks when they reach mine again.

Katia Rose is not much of a Pina Colada person, but she does like getting caught in the rain. She prefers her romance served steamy with a side of smart, and is a sucker for quirky characters. A habit of jetting off to distant countries means she’s rarely in one place for very long, but she calls the frigid northland that is Canada home.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

My Review:

From the sexy cover to the captivating synopsis, J.T. Geissinger has completely outdone herself in Melt For You. Having read the previous book in the series, I couldn’t wait to read the next book and it didn’t disappoint at all. The author has managed to create a charming story filled with swoon worthy moments that will leave you wanting for more.

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Joellen Bixby, a thirty-six-year-old copyeditor who has been working for Maddox Publishing for the last ten years. She has also been in love with her boss and CEO, Michael Maddox for that long. Although she is socially awkward, Joellen wants to get her boss to notice her but doesn’t know how and that frustrates her. It’s when she gets back to her apartment one day that Joellen comes to a stop when she hears very loud music coming from her neighbor’s apartment. She walks up to the apartment and comes face-to-face with a very handsome stranger who happens to have a very sexy Scottish accent. The spell immediately crashes the minute he starts to bicker with her and he tells her that he will stop with his music if she cooks for him return. They make a bargain of some sorts and when he finds out that Joellen has been wanting to get her boss’ attention he is willing to help her. It is through Michael that she finds out who her neighbor really is.

Cameron McGregor ends up being the captain of a rugby team called the Red Devils. Although he is well known, Cameron has been on the papers lately and not for good reasons. This concerns Michael and he tells Joellen to be careful and to not trust Cameron. She knows that her neighbor is bad news, but he has offered to be there for her and spending time together has definitely made Joellen see him in a new light. What I loved about the story was how entertaining it was and all the heavy banter that they have is sizzling. Although they have fantastic chemistry, Joellen is set on getting her boss’ attention and love. She has viewed herself as the ugly duckling in her family and not being in a relationship at her age makes everyone around her see her differently. She has a lot of self-esteemed issues that she needs to overcome and Cameron is there to remind her that it’s okay to be herself no matter what other people think of her. In the end she has to decide if she truly wants Michael or if giving Cameron a shot is worth it or not.

As I mentioned before, I truly loved reading this story it was sweet and charming. Cameron is swoon worthy and just the perfect guy that anyone would want to have. He loves bickering with Joellen and causing trouble, which made things that much more fun to read. There is a big issue of self-esteem that the author handled very well and this empowered Joellen to be who she wanted to be in the end. We also be to find out more about Cameron and what brought him to New York. It’s evident from the very start that both of the characters have issues to overcome and it all ends up tying really well in the end. There are a bit of twists and turns as well, but I wish the author could have added more details towards the end. There were a few issues that felt unresolved to me that could have made the book that much better. I would highly recommend reading this book, it was lovable and swoon worthy, a definite must-read for sure. :)

🌟REVIEW & EXCERPT TOUR:🌟 One Baby Daddy by Meghan Quinn

One Baby Daddy by Meghan Quinn

Release Date: May 17th 2018
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

"What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?"

I need to forget. I need an escape.

Only one person isn't falling for my reputation as the NHL's Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend's house. She didn't want to hear my reason — she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.

Adalyn is bold, sassy— and the perfect escape.

She's everywhere. In town and in my dreams, and suddenly I need to spend every waking moment with her.

And I do, making this summer the best off-season I've ever had.

But in the midst of getting lost in Adalyn, what I don't expect is to get her pregnant.

And what I definitely don't expect is having to fight for her affection.

Purchase: Amazon

My Review:

Not having read any other works by Meghan Quinn before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading One Baby Daddy, but needless to say I was impressed with the overall story. At the beginning of the book we get to meet Hayden Holmes, a twenty-three year old hockey player who is currently playing for the Philadelphia Brawlers, but when an accident occurs during the game his team losses a shot at the Stanley Cup playoffs. Hayden is frustrated and angry at the situation, so decides to take a break from all the press and go back to his hometown of Binghamton to clear his head. That’s when we are introduced to Racer, a childhood friend who offers to throw Hayden a welcome home party.

The minute he crosses paths with Adalyn, everything changes for him and he can’t wait to see her again. It’s her sense of humor that immediately attract him to her, but Racer is quick to let him know that Adalyn is off-limits which made her that much more irresistible to him. It is during their dates that they slowly get to know each other more and he can’t wait to truly make her his. Yet, his time in town has a deadline and they’ll have to figure out of a long distance relationship is worth having or not.

Adalyn is starting the work force as a nurse and although she always wanted to help others, being in the hospital for long hours has started to take it’s toll on her. When she gets invited to attend Hayden’s welcome home party she wasn’t expecting to like him right away. He is kind and she loves his sense of humor. He charms her right away, but she is afraid of getting hurt again. Adalyn has never truly had a relationship before, other than her one-night stands, and she is afraid of trusting guys with her heart. But it’s after getting to know Hayden really well that she is starting to see a future together, until she finds out that she is pregnant that everything in her world changes right away. Now she has to decide what she is going to do next before Hayden finds out that he is going to be a father and if it’s worth giving him a another chance.

I very much liked the overall idea of the book, it was sweet and sexy. But aside from all of that we do get to see the characters’ relationship grow throughout the book and the flow of the story is consisted at the beginning and a bit rushed towards the end. At least in my opinion, that’s how I felt when I was reading the book. I loved Hayden in the story, he was the one character that stood out to me from the rest and with good reason. He is not your typical hockey player, at least one would think that he would be all over the ladies, but he is the complete opposite. Hayden likes to keep focus and to himself. He is charming and totally swoon worthy. It’s easy to connect with him in the story, not so much with Adalyn. I liked her at the beginning, but as the story progressed I found myself frustrated with her and she felt flat for me in the end. It’s evident that both of the characters have their own pasts to overcome and they’re happy in the end after all the struggles that they go through. Hayden completely saved the story for me and it ended on a good not. I’m intrigued to read the other books in the series and will highly recommend checking this one out if you haven’t done so already. ;)

My Rating:

“Would you mind zipping up the back of my dress?” She walks toward me, her flowery scent floating in my direction, spiking my yearning into overdrive.

“Uh, yeah . . . sure.”

She turns around, and looks over her shoulder. The back of her dress is completely open, the zipper undone to just above the curve of her beautifully round ass.

Shit, all that smooth, tan skin, covered by nothing but the velvety fabric of the dress. Is she wearing underwear? She’s not wearing a bra and I see no panty line.

Clearing my throat, I ask, “Are you wearing underwear, Adalyn?”

From over her shoulder, she smiles shyly. “Yes, it’s small though.”

Of course it is. Why wouldn’t it be?

Not being able to stop myself, I take a second to float my fingertips up her spine. From the initial touch, her back arches and a small gasp releases from her lips, but before I can think about stopping, she melts into my touch. Stepping closer, I place my hand on the back of her hip, my thumb pressing into her ass while the other hand explores the bare expanse of her back. Her head falls to my shoulder. Her lips part, and when I snake to the front of her dress, her breath hitches.

Eyes closed, I take in ragged breaths, my fingers inching closer and closer to her front, my cock painfully hard.

It’s been so goddamn long—and being with Adalyn has only spurred on my need—but I want to make sure we’re in a good place before we commit to anything. I want to make sure she’s ready emotionally because the minute I bury myself deep inside her, I know there will be no turning back. She will be mine forever.

But maybe for now, I can just have a little touch . . .

My cock pressed against her butt, she expertly grinds her backside into me, her hands moving to my neck, pulling my head down to hers. I kiss the side of her neck, using the hand that’s gripping her hips to guide her with her grinding in just the right place.

Fuck, that feels good.

I grunt, the sound vibrating over her sleek neck. My hand on her stomach, she arches wanting more of my touch, silently asking me to move north.

And I fucking comply. Inch by slow inch, I guide my hand to just below her breasts. When I halt my pursuit, a displeased groan escapes her.

“Hayden, please.”

I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to find the willpower. Her fingernails dig into my scalp, spurring me on as she turns her head and finds my lips.

She kisses me.

Her lips gliding across mine, her tongue diving into my mouth, her moans are vocal and sexy. Her delicious ass, pressing, grinding, undulating against my rock-hard cock makes me want to do so much more, makes me want to taste so much more.

Moving my hand higher, my fingertips graze the bottom of her breast. Soft. Round. Smooth. I caress her right below her nipple, never touching, just teasing . . . tempting.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

{EXCERPT - Book 1 - Mad Love}

Life had a way of expunging your expectations.

But it also had a way of rebuilding them.

I met a hero the day I walked into Klayton's tattoo shop, broken and terrified. My heart was tattered, and my mental state was a plain of rubble in my skull. He wasn't your typical hero. But atypical was exactly what I needed. I needed strength to combat my weaknesses. I needed love to fight my terror. And I needed someone to look at me like I was whole, when I feared I never would be again.

I sometimes wished we could have a do-over. That I could walk into his tattoo shop smiling, clean, and glowing. But that would only erase the brutal, beautiful truth of us. I didn't walk into his tattoo shop smiling, I wasn't clean, and I was severely damaged.

But Klayton loved me anyway. Even when I was empty, even when I was broken.

Even when I was mad.

When I walk into a book store I feel at home. When I smell the pages of a brand new book things make sense. When I read I am who I always wanted to be. I read to escape and I write so others can as well. My family, my actress dog Bella, coffee, and a steamy love story are a few of my most precious things.

When Knox and I catch our respective plus ones making out, all hell breaks loose. So we do the only thing we can—date one another to drive our exes to the brink. What better way to avoid a rebound than to take control and take each other for the summer?

No rules.

Everything goes.

But Knox is built for speed both on and off the field with a body sculpted of pure steel. Those eyes, that dirty kissable mouth of his have me on the edge of my quivering seat. Violet isn’t interested in his pretty, beat-up face, or his rock-hard six-pack abs. But when Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s previous misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes more than just a hot body with a face to match.

In what can only be considered a complete lapse in judgment, Violet finds out just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Post-night of orgasmic magic, Alex starts to call, and text, and e-mail and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts, making him difficult to ignore, and even more difficult not to like.
